International Inner Wheel

Inner Wheel is where members volunteer in friendship to serve the communities worldwide.

Members of Inner Wheel uphold THREE objectives:
PROMOTING true friendship
ENCOURAGING the ideals of personal service
FOSTERING international understanding

Established since 1924, Inner Wheel members are working together with VISION and STRATEGIES, demonstrating who we are and what we stand for.

In our world where so many are in conflict and despair, come join Inner Wheel in promoting compassion, empathy, tolerance and harmony within our communities.

President’s Theme 2025-26

Each year, the International President presents a theme to unite members towards a common achievement. When over 115,000 members prevail with one passion, the results can create the change across nations and for generations.

The International Inner Wheel theme led by President Kay Morland for 2025-2026 is

The INSPIRATION as Inner Wheel members

Inner Wheel is the wonderful organisation that has given all of us the chance to STEP UP and champion women and girls. We have the opportunity to create programmes that serve the needy and less fortunate in society, and to support women, children and their communities.

The hidden benefit of our service projects, in fact the gift we receive by our actions, is the sense of achievement we feel. That wonderful warm and fuzzy feeling you get when you help somebody in need, when you simply brighten someone’s day just because you can.

At the end of the day what really matters is not what we brought but what we built, not what we received but what we shared, not our competence but our character, and not our success but our significance.

Home is behind you, Inner Wheel is around you and the world is ahead. The future of Inner Wheel is in our hands — let’s all Step Up and Lead by Example.

Be the first to say “Hello”.

Be kind, leave a legacy of love and kindness.
Be thoughtful, compliment people every day.
Be considerate, treat everyone the way you want to be treated.
Be supportive, never deprive someone of hope, it may be all they have.

Be kinder than necessary,
never waste an opportunity to be kind.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind!
Every act of kindness is a piece of love we leave behind.

Be the inspiration to like-minded women,
encouraging them to be involved in our magnificent organisation.
Be the Club member who is first to raise her hand,
inspiring others to do the same.

Be the very best version of you and inspire others to do likewise.
Step up and contribute to a positive legacy.

Kay Morland,
President 2025-2026

Odette Djoumessi, through National Representative, Adèle Tchakountio,
D915, Central Africa, reported that a conference was organised on violence against women, young girls in the Dolce vita room. The deputy director of disabled people at the ministry of social affairs defined violence as the intentional use of physical force to injure or cause harm to others through physiological forces of violence, verbal, physical, cultural practices or online through social networks or in a school environment. A plea must be addressed to the government for the creation of a listening center for abused women and girls. Children (young boys and girls) must be educated from an early age to consider young girls as weak sexes who must be respected and must receive better supervision. A hundred participants attended this conference in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

Country – Malaysia District – 330
Club name – Inner Wheel Club Kuala Lumpur
Project – On 30th Nov. 2025,
Malaysians United in ‘An Orange Wave of Hope’, at the
“Walkathon Orange The World”.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall Square (Dataran DBK) was transformed into a sea of bright orange as 1,400 Malaysians came together to take a stand against violence towards women & girls, organised by the Inner Wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur (IWCKL). The event was officiated by The Honourable Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Women, Family & Community Development. In her message, she emphasised that lasting change requires not only strong legislation but strong, compassionate communities & she set a meaningful tone for the 3 km walk.
Members from IWD 330 & 331, school children, youth groups, senior citizens, corporate teams, ministry officials & city council representatives carried vibrant placards expressing hope, courage, and solidarity.
Proud highlight of the morning was the presentation of the ‘Malaysia Book of Records’ certificate to IWCKL for organising the ‘Largest Gathering to End Violence Towards Women & Girls’. It sent a unified message: every woman & girl deserves safety, dignity & respect.
The concluding performances, community interactions & a shared sense of purpose reminded all that awareness grows strongest when people stand together.
On this remarkable day, Malaysians walked for every woman & girl who deserves a life free from fear. Thus, IWD 330 made history.
