She was welcomed at the Westin Dhaka hotel in the afternoon by District Chairman Nayar Islam along with her Executive Committee, Past District Chairmen and different club Presidents with flowers. District 328 was honored and excited with lot of enthusiasm to find Dr. Kapila Gupta among them on Inner Wheel Day. Dr. Kapila Gupta planted a sapling and after her District Chairman Nayar Islam planted a tree to commemorate the Inner Wheel Day and flown away the banner of Inner Wheel Day on balloon to mark the day.
Later the students from an autistic school SRAC which is under support of D 328 came to meet the IIW President and she was deeply moved with their learning and later she financially supported the school to encourage them. Later in the evening Past District Chairmen hosted a dinner in honor of Madame President in a top most Signature Restaurant called Sanjiv Kapoor’s Khana Khazana where besides PDC, District Chairman Nayar Islam along with her Executive Committee,National Representative Nahid Nawaz attended the dinner. The fellowship was cordial, warm and with fun during the dinner where all informally get to engage with the President and here Dr. kaplia cut the cake of Inner Wheel Day with a very dignified presence.
Conference of D-328 Bangladesh 11th January 2018:
District 328’s most significant program District Conference “ Action Creates Legacy” was held on11th January 2018 at The Grand Ballroom of Westin Dhaka. The conference was elevated to a different height of level with the presence of IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta as Chief Guest. As many as 255 members from 42 different clubs of D-328 attended the mega event with much enthusiasm and exuberance since this year conference was graced by IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta.
Also, Past District Chairmen, NR, IW Board Directors and some members of District 345 attended the conference with much happiness. In this event Dr. Kapila Gupta inaugurated a mega project of D 328 where 20 wheel chairs were handed over to 3 different hospitals as an ongoing project. She happily pinned 35 newly joined Inner Wheel members who are motivated by IW service and promised to work for the community under the name of Inner Wheel.

In Chief Guest’s very important speech IIW President emphasized expansion of membership, project related to sustainability and various other issues that are related to Inner Wheel activities. In the conference she unveiled the souvenir of the conference and appreciated all the efforts of the Conference. Also, she was quite pleased with the last 6 months activities which were presented to her on a Projector.

One Open Forum question answer session was arranged during the conference moderated by the District Chairman Nayar Islam where the members were privileged to directly ask questions to Dr. Kapila Gupta which she answered with full enthusiasm. Members were delighted since not every year in conference D 328 gets visited by IIW President. Later before lunch Madame President happily joined a photo session with the club Presidents, Chairmen of both the Districts and EC of D 328.

After the end of the conference IIW President Dr Kapila Gupta went to call on the Speaker of BangladeshNational Parliament Dr. Shirin Sharmeen Chowdhury along with District Chairman Nayar Islam and Vice Chairman, Secretary and Club Correspondent of IW Club Dhanmondi at her office in the National Parliament of Bangladesh . IIW President was ushered in with full protocol of a VIP by the Hon’ble Speaker and had good session knowing information from Dr. Kapila Gupta. Speaker invited her again to visit Bangladesh.

On 12th morning IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta departed Bangladesh for India where DC Nayar seen her off at the airport.
