IIW President Dr Kapila Gupta was met on arrival by Past IIW Board Director Dilruba Ahmed, National Representative Nahid Nawaz, District Chairman Sharmin Hossain and PNR Nur Ayesha Chaklader. They presented a lovely floral bouquet as a tribute to the IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta Gupta upon her arrival in Dhaka. Home stay in capital city Dhaka with Past IIW Board Director Dilruba Ahmed.
An exquisite Dinner was hosted by Past IIW Board Director Dilruba Ahmed for Past leaders and members of the District Executive committee in honor of the IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta.
A visit was organized by District Committee of D345 at the National Martyrs Monument to placing of the wreath, planting saplings and signing the VVIP Visitor’s book. Dr. Enam, Member of Parlament of Bangladesh was present there in honor of IIWP. Guard of honor was given to IIWP by Local Police and armed force.
IIWP Dr. Kapila Gupta start for TV interview at NTV Studio. The show heading “Frankly Speaking” conducted by Mr. Zahirul Alam, which was telecast on National Television of Bangladesh on 10th January. In this interview Dr. Kapila Gupta expressed her feeling about Inner Wheel in worldwide, About the Theme ”Leave A Lasting Legacy’, and branding of Inner wheel. This show creates a huge popularity in City.

IIWP Dr. Kapila visited Birdem Hospital, only diabetic hospital of Bangladesh to Inauguration of a Legacy Project which is jointly done with Rotary Club of North West & IWC of Dhaka North West. This project is to renovate the neourorogy department in modern equipments. After a quick visit with the doctor’s she give a short speech. In her discussion with the doctors, she explains how IW is working under one umbrella worldwide. She highly appreciated the atmosphere of the hospital.
A five member’s delegation, led by IIW President Dr. Kapila Gupta called on Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban. During the meeting IIW President apprised the President that IW mainly do two things- building friendship among the womenfolk and welfare activities for the less privileged. The President appreciated the activities of the organization and wish them to expand its activities. At the end of the meeting photos were taken of IIW President Dr Kapila Gupta together with President Abdul Hamid, District Chairman Sharmin Hossain, Past IIWR Board Director Dilruba Ahmed, Vice Chairman I Mohsena Reza, Vice Chairman II Tahia Khalil.
A Rotary Reception was arranged by Rotary Club of Dhaka at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in honor of IIWP Dr. Kapila Gupta. She was addressed as Special Guest and the Rotary Governor of D3281 was also present there.
IWD 345 organized its fourth Conference and Inner Wheel Day at Raddison Blu, Dhaka. IIW President graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. National Representative Nahid Nawaz was present as Special Guest at the program which was presided over by IWD 345 Chairman Sharmin Hossain. She was all praise for the work done by D345, the new district of IW in Bangladesh, stating that she was amazed by the rapid development the district had made in such a short span of time. She praised Inner Wheel for its important role in drawing public attention to current issues and providing accurate information. She presented Charter to 4 (four) newly formed Clubs.
A special aspect of the IWD345 program was an Talk Show geared to” Leave A Lasting Legacy”. The highly qualified and informative speakers were: Munira Khan, PNR, Dr. Shirin Huq, PNR, Rtn F.H. Arif, Governor, RID3281. The entire program was anchored by Conference Chairman and Past Board Director Dilruba Ahmed. Clubs in D345 (33) jointly hosted the program. IWD 345 was delighted to have the IIW President participated in the conference organized. The conference was a grand success in joining 35 new members on that very day.
