On January 31st, International President Phyllis Charter, accompanied by her husband Paul, began her first official visit to Italy as a guest of District 208. In Rome Phyllis, also followed by the National Representative Cinzia Tomatis Fermani, was welcomed by the President of the District Victoria Comito who organized a tour among some of the most famous attractions of the capital: the Imperial Forums, the Aventine, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Maxxi Museum and the Borghese Gallery.

Accompanied in the suggestive itinerary also by the National President Lina de Gioia-Carabellese and some members of the National Council, Phyllis Charter was able to appreciate the artistic beauties of Rome, the many expressions of the great Italian culture, the elegance and richness of the ancient palaces and also the good cuisine for which the country is known.

Exciting and engaging the meeting with the members of the District, in which a video was shown illustrating the many services provided by the Clubs of Lazio and Sardinia, regions that make up the District.

The important service for the Maxxi, Zaha Hadid's beautiful museum, was of particular interest to the President of the IIW: a tactile model of the building, donated by District 208 to allow even the blind to appreciate the admirable architecture of this modern art gallery.

An example that responds to the exhortation made by Phyllis in her speech during the meeting with the members: to make the voice of the Inner Wheel heard by making us known for our projects and for what we all do together. Because "together we can".
