International Inner Wheel President Madam Christine Kirby landed at Delhi, a massive metropolitan capitol city of India, for the IIW Convention site inspection visit and meetings on 22nd September 2018 until 26th September 2018 and the 18th International Inner Wheel Convention plans were set to roll in the spectacular pink city of India, Jaipur.
Visit to opulent colonnaded City Palace and Hawa Mahal Palace - The Palace of Winds - with 953 windows to it altogether, the convention venue Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center led to two day meetings.
Well designed agenda of the meetings highlighted the discussions led by IIW President Christine Kirby.
Confirmation of convention venue, JECC, Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center, banner exchange and friendship dinner venues, visits to hotels Marriott, Crown Plaza, and Radisson Blue selection and approval of promotional & printing materials, timelines, contracts, through attendance to its important budgetary matters, website and social media coverage, with due suggestions & doubts clarification from President Christine & others, many matters were discussed.
NR Smita Pingale assured the fullest cooperation and support to the 18th International Inner Wheel Convention preparations and said that members of Inner Wheel India open their hearts to welcome delegates of International Inner Wheel to 18th Convention at Jaipur.
IIW President Christine in her closing remarks of words of wisdom, expressed her satisfaction over the venue and hotel selection, preparation of LCC and PCO for the visits to venues and meetings. She expressed confidence to get a successful international convention at Jaipur from 3rd to 7th March 2021. She wished the LCC, Convener Renu Balji and Treasurer Gomathi Viswanathan a grand success. She appreciated active participation and attention of IIW Treasuer Azhau Annamalai and administrator Alan Phillips.
Her departure to London for the forth coming IIW meetings, while NR Smita bidding her good bye at the Jaipur airport, left ever lasting lingering memories of down to earth friendly approach and fruitful visit of IIW President Christine Kirby, on soil of Jaipur, India.
An important page of the 18th IIW Convention's passage book was thus accorded by IIW President Chris Kirby in her first ever visit to India.
