On 27 October 2021, the agreement was signed by lead
clubs— the Inner Wheel Club of Manila Bay EDSA President Anna Chan Lao and
Inner Wheel Club of Metro South President Arlyn Gregorio. This paves the way
for the amplification of recruitment and training efforts in the project’s
flagship programme called Flexible Training for Work (FTW). The partnership is
committed to providing training subsidies for 50 FTW trainees for the whole
duration of the partnership, initially, giving the first 15 trainees a total of
PHP 90,000 in training support.
"These kinds of partnerships are our beam of hope despite the bleak situation that we are grappling with. Participation and collaboration are part of youth empowerment,” said Sean Callahan, USAID Philippines Acting Mission Director.
“The thrust of the International Inner Wheel’s social projects campaign for the next 3 years is “Strong Women, Stronger World.” Our district is proud of our two clubs, the Inner Wheel Clubs of Manila Bay EDSA and Metro South, because they heed the call of empowering women through this training as an initiative towards developing employment with YouthWorks PH. I look forward to hearing beneficiaries attest to how the project has helped them improve their livelihood. This will further inspire the rest of our district to sustain our theme of Pink First – Women Helping Women,” said IWCPI District Chairman Lulu Yambao.
