This year, we had a delicious three-course lunch at a venue in Chelmsford and Association President Betty Roberts came to join us. She is a member of the District and brought along her stall of home-made items for sale. A raffle draw gave away a lot of lovely prizes to benefit the Association President’s chosen charity for the Inner Wheel Year — The Stroke Association. After lunch, a local group of singers “Ladybirds” entertained us with songs from the 60s to the 80s and included a rendition of Eviva Espaňa. District Treasurer Carol is a singer in the group who delighted us with a solo of “Memory” from the musical show “Cats”.
