The Inner Wheel Club of Jalna Horizon took the initiative instil awareness about women’s pad free period. 200 menstrual cups were given free of cost to lady police constables, hospital staff, teachers etc. A gynaecologist gave talks with detailed demonstration through PowerPoint slides about how to use menstrual cups.
Questions asked were: Why should we use it? How to take care of the cup? All the myths regarding the use of menstrual cups were cleared. All users are really thankful to us. By using menstrual cups, there is less trash, keeping the environment clean, and cuts off the cost of purchasing pads from the monthly budget.
We also extended our hand to many other Inner Wheel Clubs by providing them with menstrual cups at discounted rates. These cups were distributed with the Inner Wheel branding. The drive is still ongoing.

The Inner Wheel Club of Warangal celebrated her 45th charter anniversary in a grand manner. The Honourable Mayor and the Club’s Past President Gundu Sudha Rani was the Chief Guest. District Chairman Sunitha Vallam and Past District Governor of Rotary District 3150 Dr Sharat Babu were guests of honour. Charter members, Past Presidents, Past District Chairmen, Teachers, Chief Guest and Guests of Honour were felicitated in a grand manner with shawls and mementos. Attendants and workers of the community hall were also recognised and gifted with bed sheets and cash prizes.
A battery-operated tricycle worth of Rs 16000/- was donated to Rakesh of Ladella Village. Various orphanages and old age homes such as Amma, Spandana, Sahrudaya and Raksha were given financial support of Rs 5000/- each. Rs 10000/- was donated to I DO of Kothagudem Habitations for the construction of health centre at Jaggaram.
Two sewing machines worth of Rs 11500/- were given to poor women for their livelihood.
Inner Wheel Club District 301

District Joint Sports Meet “SOLASTA” (the power of youth) held at the Thyagraj Stadium was organised by a project committee called the District Sports, Youth Development and Vocational Training Committee. Students of more than 35 NGOs and many schools participated in this event.
Athletics events took place in the open grounds from 9.30 AM to 1 PM. The event was officially launched by the traditional torch lighting, flag hoisting and releasing of balloons. Drills, yoga and various other items were performed inside the stadium from 2.30 PM to 7 PM.
It was truly a spectacular show. Shri Sandeep Singh, Hon. Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of Haryana, was the chief guest. Eminent sports icons, Ms Anita Kundu (mountaineer), Ms Shweta Sharma (Paralympian) and Ms Garima Avtar (formula car racer) were guests of honour. Over 45 Inner Wheel Clubs participated in the event.
The Clubs contributed financially towards the costs of the stadium, stage and sound, T-shirts, caps, wristbands, food packets, buffet, trophies and certificates, conveyance of the participants, etc. The event was a grand success, and it was a satisfying project, bringing smiles to many children.
