Concert of Christmas Greetings from Italy

Posted by | Jan 29, 2021 |

The Christmas greetings from District 206 Italy were held in Barchessa Valmarana in Mira, a noble Venetian residence on the Brenta Riviera. In this time of Advent, our District Chairman Cristina Groppali Scandelli, entrusting the organization of the event to a cultural gathering that deals with music and art, wanted to manifest the attention and the support of the Inner Wheel also to the showbusiness field that, because of the pandemic, is going through a serious moment of crisis.

Connected via zoom to attend the concert performed live, many Italian and foreign IW Authorities and Partners, including the National President Angela Farina and the Governors of Rotary Districts 2050 and 2060.

Thanks to a careful artistic direction and arrangements designed to recreate the ancient charm of the Venetian salon, many were the opportunities offered to participants to reflect together, addressing the various declinations of solidarity and the spirit of service that characterizes our belonging.

A concert for strings by Arcangelo Corelli, a Puccini novel and timeless Christmas carols have made possible a moment of vibrant virtual aggregation, during which, ideally holding together, We have accepted with determination the challenge of hope in a situation of great difficulty for the entire planet.
