Starting a new project “SMILE” in Bulgaria

October 2nd is the world’s day of the SMILE. That’s why on this day, the ladies from IW Club Stara Zagora- Beroe, officially gave the start of their new project “SMILE” in support of improving the dental health of children with specific needs. The project aims to keep children’s smile healthy and beautiful and help them and their parents to overcome the negative results of COVID-19 crisis.

Guests of the event were the Chairman of District 248 Bulgaria Mrs. Mariana Petrakieva, the President of IW Club Stara Zagora Mrs. Rositsa Yovcheva, the President of Rotary club Stara Zagora-Beroe d-r Genka Peycheva, Inner Wheel members from Kazanlak, members of Lions and Zonta clubs, the Director of “Health and social activities department” in Stara Zagora municipality, the Director of the daily centre for handicapped children, citizens, members of Non profit organisations and friends of the club.

The President of IW Club Stara Zagora-Beroe thanked everybody for the support. She said that charity is like “the white swallow” from the story of the famous Bulgarian author Yordan Yovkov which inspires the idea that in the difficult times we live in every tiny act of attention, sympathy and help can give hope to those who suffer and evoke a smile on the face of the saddest man.

The project manager d-r Diana Bushkalova revealed the details and said that it will be a difficult project in difficult times but all members of IW Club Stara Zagora Beroe are going to give their heart and soul, inspiration and dedication for its success.
