IW Alor Setar Forges Ties with N.A.D.Y.

The Inner Wheel Club of Alor Setar visited the Networking Action for Disabled Youth (NADY) Centre in the famed and beautiful island of Langkawi Malaysia yesterday.

N.A.D.Y. is an NGO run by a family, which avails the space, time, mentoring and training to disabled youth to develop their talents, which otherwise would go largely unnoticed. These youth are trained specifically in batik painting, agriculture, music and cooking and it is so amazing to see what these youth can do with a bit of guidance and a whole lot of love and care.

IWC AS memebrs were happy to purchase their painstakingly done handicraft of wall paintings, t-shirts, postcards, bags and many more. IWCAS hopes to be able to promote these beautiful products whenever Inner Wheel Clubs have big public functions.

It was truly an eye-opening experience and a huge lesson in humility for all of us.
