IW Day - Celebrating by Sharing Funds with Deserving Causes

The National Governing Body of Inner Wheel Clubs in Nigeria on the 31st October 2019, at their First NGB Meeting agreed that the proceeds from local fund raising initiatives should be shared among the five Districts in Nigeria and must be used in their community to help or empower a girl child. The total sum of N138000 (£296) was shared among the five District Chairmen.

Aisha Olanipekun is a student of Ilaro Polytechnic. She is a brilliant, hard-working, obedient girl with 3as 1b and 4cs in the last WAEC exams. An orphan whose mother hawks pure water to sustain the family.

On the 10th of January 2020, District 914 celebrated world Inner Wheel day. A girl child, Miss Cynthia Chimdindu of Ebonyi state University in the department of Bio - Chemistry and in her 3rd year was empowered with the sum of 27,600.

During Inner Wheel day January 10, 2020. District 913 paid West African school leaving certificate exam fees for Busiratu Akangbe of Olorunda Village, Ibadan. Oyo State. She is from a poor family, the parents could not afford the exams fee. Thanks were given to District Chairman and members of D913 for coming to her aid.

Adedolapo Adeyemi is a 20 year old student of Physics Education In University Of Lagos. She's very intelligent and focused .She lives in Jibowu Yaba. Her father has been bedridden for almost 5 years. Her mother who is a petty trader is working so hard to support the family.

Presentation of NGB cheque to Miss Mary Oyinola by IWC of Bida, D910 to mark Inner Wheel Day, 10th January 2020. After her NYSC, she has not been able to secure a job. She therefore started a small scale business of selling recharge cards. Also, she works in a salon as hair dresser. The empowerment is to enable her purchase equipment to start her own hair dressing salon and improve her recharge card business.
