Inner Wheel Clubs of San Francisco del Monte led by Club President Paulina Cuntapay in cooperation with Rotary Club of San Francisco del Monte and Bureau of Plant Industry launched its first Gulayan Sa Paaralan (Vegetable Garden in Schools) at Sinag Tala Elementary School last November 13, 2019. 100 packs of vegetable seeds (okra, sitao, kangkong, squash, mustasa, brocolli, cowpea and pechay) were given to Dr. Simbulo, principal of the school.

Subject matter experts on urban gardening will be invited to teach Grade 5 and Grade 6 students and series of visitations will be done by the club to check on the progress of the garden.

This project will be replicated to other adopted schools of the club.

The launching was witnessed by NP Bibie Jarin and DC Mary Anne Gutierrez with DS Rose Belgira and District 378 Ecology and Environment Chairman PDC Rosalinda Capocyan.
