IW Club of Nocera Inferiore Sarno, District 210, Italy, carried out this year a very original project: "Give a toy to another child!"
Months ago, the Club entered into an agreement with the Primary School Institute of Nocera Inferiore (Naples) to achieve a supportive joint collection of toys. The schoolchildren, helped by their teachers and their mothers, donated one of their own toys, to give to a less fortunate child.
The result was an extraordinary event: we were literally flooded with lots of beautiful toys, which we gave out to communities, prisons, charity associations.
Not only was it a service with no expenses, but it had a profound, invaluable meaning for all those who took part in this project.
The teachers, certainly already accustomed to the practice of solidarity and charity, joyfully shared a valid educational custom.
The mothers enthusiastically supported the collection, guaranteeing its success.
The children received once more a formative message of love and solidarity from the school, and that will certainly contribute positively to their education.
And, last but not least, we all gave a second life to these items, recycling them and distributing them to the less fortunate.
With the gifts of the children of Nocera, today are playing the children of the women in Naples jails, the minors and juniors of “Good Samaritan Institute”, “Caritas”, “The Garden of the thousand colors” and many, many others.
