On October 27th 2018, in the “Aula Magna” of the University in Pavia, Anna Carpignano, D.204 Chairman Italy, organized and chaired a conference of great relevance: "Cyberbullying, from research to intervention".
The success of the Forum has been significant because it combined scientific research with interventions and testimonies of strong emotional impact that brought our IW Clubs to the awareness of a disturbing reality; but also proposing interesting initiatives to be operational as well.
The present year Project for the prevention and intervention is “ADOPT A CLASS - Inner Wheel - District 204" and it’s aimed at sensitizing and providing tools to pupils and teachers, so that they can develop social skills and fight bullying and cyberbullying.
"Adopt a class" wants to invite the District Clubs to finance and follow a path of prevention and contrast to bullying and cyberbullying, also through an innovative App. In fact a very valid, interactive, diversified App for the different levels of school was realized with the collaboration of Pavia University and presented with the name of "Bullizzapp" to promote awareness to prevent bullies and cyberbullies from making victims. Because silence is not good, it is “bully”.
To give young people, girls and boys, new tools to win.
Anna Carpignano – District 204 Chairman
