Charter ceremony: Orléans Europea D 72
In the bucolic setting of the golf course in Limères, south of Orleans, District 72 Chairman Isabelle Cheval in the presence of Elisabeth Haye, National Representative-President FAMAT, presented the charter to Antoinette Casorla, president of the new club. A beautiful assembly surrounded them, which counted no less than two past past IIW presidents, Catherine Refabert from France and Charlotte De Vos from Belgium. Antoinette Casorla recalled her club's commitment to the most disadvantaged people. Béatrice Trinqué, president of the IW Club of Bordeaux-Aliénor-Europea, which is a sponsor club, handed a collar to President Antoinette while Isabelle Cheval was giving her the IW bell offered by the District.
The atmosphere was festive and the guests were happy to meet. Soprano Daphne Corregan and pianist Catie Evezard took a stage and gave heartbreaking performance to audiences. The Mayor of Orléans made an honour by his presence and said in a few sentences the importance he attached to the IW movement.
The evening ended with the traditional exchange of flags. At the very end some friends, trained by the Orleans Jazzpotes, started to dance.
