Double effort for Refugee Aid – twice as effective

Historic first: Two Wiesbaden IW Clubs of District 81, Germany, cooperate in social project

For the first time ever, the two Wiesbaden IWCs, Kurpark and Wiesbaden, cooperated in a social project during the current year. Refugee Aid stood on the agenda of IWC Wiesbaden. With her fundraising idea, President Ute Hansen turned to somebody very active in the city, Dean Dr. Martin Menke,

The cleric was very receptive, as money was needed to furnish the refugees’ homes at the Sieglindenweg. But to finance just a single apartment? President Hansen immediately got in touch with her homologue at IWC Kurpark, Ulrike Heinrich. She came on board at once, acting quickly and without any red tape. As a result, two apartments could be equipped, by donating 2155,00 euros twice.

Refugees have moved in because the motto “unique & united” worked beautifully.
