Inner Wheel District 301 in collaboration with Support Our Heroes NGO successfully distributed ration kits to needy non-Pensioned Ex-Servicemen (and their widows) in districts of Manipur i.e. Kangpokpi, Churachandpur and Chandel in the presence of Zila Sainik Welfare Board officials and local media. All these were the 1962 (Indo-China war), 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pakistan war veterans.
These people were on our waitlist for over 6 months and as told by Support Our Heroes NGO, they weren't able to commit to giving them monthly ration kits for a lifetime because of the shortage of funds. That's when they came in touch with us. Inner Wheel District 301offered to sponsor their ration kits for a year so that they could be provided at least with some relief. IWC Delhi Midtown sponsored ration kits for 108 families on this project.

A beauty parlour is set up in village Bigaan and was inaugurated by DC Anita Jain. Due to the lack of electricity in the village, the smooth running of the sewing centre and beauty parlour were facing great problems. We received a subsidy from the Haryana government to install solar.
Wholehearted contributions from clubs made our work easier. We have installed a solar panel with 2 batteries and an inverter. Now the Inner Wheel vocational centre in Bigaan village is lit up and the happiness on the faces of girls working and taking training is beyond words. Now in Bigaan village our computer centre and vocational centre run on two installed solar panels. Our aim is to save energy by installing solar panels in all adopted villages.
