Under the initiative of District 95 in Egypt and Jordan, National Representative Mrs Iman El Bashari and District Chairman Mrs Hala Hagrass, a project on planting trees to preserve the environment was carried out.
The Inner Wheel Clubs in Egypt and Jordan planted different kinds of fruit trees in numerous places in Egypt and Jordan in commemorating Inner Wheel Day which officially falls each year on 10 January.
The Inner Wheel Clubs of Alexandria El Nozha and Alexandria Sporting (in Egypt) planted six palm trees and twenty-one fruit trees at the College of Education for boys at Abou Qir.
The Inner Wheel Club of Philadelphia (in Jordan) planted olive trees in the garden of Bishop’s School for boys in Jabal Amman and at the Royal Automobile Club Gardens.
The Inner Wheel Club of Amman (in Jordan) planted twenty trees in Madaba and Jordan Valley.
The Inner Wheel Club of Cairo West (in Egypt) planted hibiscus trees in the children’s garden at El Gezira Sporting Club.
The Inner Wheel Club of Giza (in Egypt) planted a palm tree at the Green Sunbulah Association for Orphan Girls.
The Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx (in Egypt) planted a lemon tree at the Muslim Women Association in Abdeen.
The Clubs of District 95 take the initiative of planting trees every year because plant greenery is the source of oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration and guards us against the pollution of our environment.
