Breast Cancer Awareness Programme at Jagiot Village, by Inner Wheel Club of Islamabad Cosmopolitan.

The Inner Wheel Club of Islamabad Cosmopolitan organised a Breast Cancer

Awareness programme and a medical camp in a local school at Jagiot village for women and young girls.

Dr Saira Mahmood (Consultant on Breast Cancer and General Surgeon) delivered a very informative lecture on breast cancer and emphasised on the importance of self-examination in a very simple and clear way. She then gave clinical consultation to many ladies and referred some to Rawal, Pims & Polyclinic. Painkillers, and iron tablets were distributed to the women.

Pamphlets on breast cancer were also given, written by Kanwal Syed in a very comprehensive way in Urdu which is the local language.

Later, food boxes and juices were distributed to the women students and school staff.
