True Inner Wheel friendship beyond borders.
District 325 ISO, Rashmi Gupta, with great encouragement from DC Poonam Thakur hosted Rainbow of Peace on International Peace Day. She was guided and assisted by PAP and PNR Prabha Raghunandan.
The event was an amalgamation of thoughts on peace, sharing of culture through dance and music. The programme began with the welcome and prayer, followed by a video of Lamps of Friendship And Peace by District ISOs of participating Districts. All dignitaries were honoured by dedicating projects by different clubs in their name. There was a great variety of projects such as donation of laptop and solar panels, e-learning centre, vending machine for sanitary napkins, distribution of essential items, monetary help for students, vocational training and tree planting. The guests felt very touched with all these efforts.
All countries presented dances. The club ISOs of D325 did a pretty compilation of all dances of India through 1 song.
Posters and slogans competition results were announced.
Association President Saroj Katiyar was the esteemed Chief Guest. She spoke so well on peace and gave beautiful words of encouragement.
“Rubaru” is a face-to-face conversation to learn more about our South Asian and South-East Asian friends. It was hosted by PAP Prabha Raghunandan and conducted in a very easy-going manner. ISOs from Bangladesh D328, 345, Pakistan D327 and D341, Sri Lanka D322.Malaysia D330, Philippines D380 were the participants.
It was a very interesting session giving viewers insights into their country’s cuisine, sightseeing, festivals and languages. It concluded with a poem on peace written by the host.
Present were also DCs, Past BDs and NRs from these Districts and many Club ISOs. Past BD and Past IIW Editor/Media Manager Ashnadelle Hilmy Mortagy was also present, along with BDs from Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
All the dignitaries shared peace day messages truly from the heart.
Friends from Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda too joined. It was lovely to have them. ISOs and members from all districts of India attended.
The wonderful members of D325 DEC Club ISOs and so many more were there to enjoy and cheer the organising team.
Lastly, Prayers of Peace were offered by members and families of 7 religions, representing Rainbow of Peace through a video. This is what Inner Wheel is: beyond religion, creed, walls and borders. Women with commitment walking on the path of Friendship and Service.

On 2nd October 2021, the Inner Wheel Club of Lakhimpur-Kheri launched the Inner Wheel Physiotherapy Centre. This centre was inaugurated by District 312 Chairman, Archana Bajpai.
This Centre will be operated under the patronage of Dr Shantanu Awasthi. 14 different types of machines are available In the Centre, out of which 2 machines (IFT MS TENS and Ultrasonic Machine) were provided by Inner wheel Lakhimpur-Kheri.
This physiotherapy centre will be managed by the club as a running project. Amount Spent: Rs.72,860/- Benefiaries: Many
The Club had organised a free bone density test where around 150 patients tested themselves. Amount: free

The club had also set up a Vocational Training Centre for girls at Aarohan Foundation, Teliyarganj, to give them the opportunity of financial independence. At the Centre, they learn madhubani painting and kasidakari (embroidery).
The honourable District Chairman Archana Bajpai inaugurated the centre and was very happy to see the paintings. A student gifted to the DC, her handmade painting. Amount spent: Rs1,70000. Beneficiaries: 50 girls daily.

At a middle school in Contonment, classes were held to teach the teachers, mothers and children healthy homemade soap making with 10 different varieties like tomato soap, carrot soap, neem soap, aloe vera soap, beetroot soap, coconut milk soap, turmeric soap, sandalwood soap, basin flour soap and coconut oil soaps.
It is a recyclable and reusable process. Papaya peel, orange peel, mango peel, banana peel and apple peel can also used in making fragrant healthy natural coloured soap.
The result is a herbal, natural and healthy soap for our skin.
Once made, it was branded with Inner Wheel and distributed to the respective teachers, mother's n children.
Everyone was very happy, proud and very interested to make soaps. It is very healthy and they liked it very much, with promises to start their own business.
This was a wonderful project to empower the women. More than that, it turned out to be one that was branding Inner Wheel on a very useful product

A store was opened at the Women and Children Hospital, Mattanchery at a cost of 2.45 Lakhs. It was fully furnished and cooling will be provided by the Club. The store retails much needed amenities at the hospital was inaugurated by MLA K J Maxi and ACP V G Ravindranath.
