National Day Cheers in Singapore!

On 11th August, the Inner Wheel Club of Singapore had an opportunity to bring some joy to the residents of United Medicare Centre which is a private, purpose built 248 bed, Nursing Home and Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens in the West of Singapore. It caters to the elderly in need of nursing care, respite care and day care. President Sita is a familiar face at this Home as a regular volunteer.

Two beautifully decorated cakes were sponsored by the Club from a well known bakery to celebrate the 55th Independence Day of Singapore. The centre was brightly decorated in the national colours of red and white and staff entertained residents with games, music and food.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions members of the club could only deliver the cakes to the care givers at the reception area. Even so, they were handed over with meaningfully crafted cards to wish all the residents a very happy National day.
