Egyptian & Italian Clubs meet in Florence

Posted by | Jan 13, 2020 |

A group of Egyptian friends from three clubs in Cairo - Sphynx, Giza and Tanta came to Italy for a few days, just to visit Florence and Rome. With the other two Florentine clubs we met them for an aperitif at Villa La Loggia. The evening was beautiful and Florence, lit up for the Christmas holidays, was at its best.

They told us they had visited the Duomo but could not resist the windows of the Ponte Vecchio and go shopping in the city and the surrounding area.

We exchanged news on each other's activities and services. Of particular interest in them was the "Donna Inner Wheel Toscana" award, which we annually give to a Tuscan female character who has distinguished herself in the fields of art, science, sport and social work.

The Egyptian friends in turn told us about a service they do by delivering five hundred poor families food supplies on the occasion of Ramadan.

After exchanging flags and small souvenirs we greeted each other with the promise (hope?) to meet us in Cairo in the near future.
