Bridge the Baltic Sea

Bridging the Baltic Sea in Kalmar, Sweden, a meeting of IW Clubs form Sweden, Denlark, Finland, Germany and Norway organised by IW Club of Kalmar, D241, Sweden

The IW Club of Kalmar, District 241, arranged a very successful Baltic Meeting,”Bridging the Baltic Sea”, with about 160 participants from Inner Wheel clubs in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany and Norway.

The program started with a lecture about the condition of the Baltic Sea and how to save the sea from further pollution. During the meeting the participants also made study visits and excursions.

The Gala Dinner took place at Kalmar Castle in the light of a historic theatre performance where the “Patron of Kalmar Castle” walked around among the tables and entertained the guests. A very much appreciated feature. The picture of the “Patron of Kalmar Castle” was on the cover of IW-Nytt 3/16.
